Civil Engineering

The doctoral program in Civil Engineering is organized around six great interdepartmental program areas: Structural Engineering and Construction, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Infrastructure, Sustainability and Environmental Engineering and Computer Engineering.

The current program is the heir of the doctorate courses which began in the academic year 1975-1976. With the Organic Law of University Reform of 1984 doctoral programs became competition of the departments. However, departments with teaching at the School decided, by a delegation agreement, maintaining a cross-doctoral program, the Civil Engineering program. This program has lived in recent years with specific programs of the various departments.

Acceptance among students, both nationally and internationally, the quality of the theses and teaching and research staff of the school, has been the best guarantee for granting the title of PhD program quality successive calls the Ministry of education since 2004.
