Transport Engineering & Infrastructures



The PhD program in Transport Engineering and Infrastructures deals jointly with knowledge issues related to transport, such as transport infrastructure and engineering, logistics organization and transport systems modeling, as well as urban and regional planning.

The program provides training at the doctoral level in scientific research methodologies for transport infrastructures and technical systems, logistics and urban services in the following fields of competence:

  • Network infrastructures planning and design
  • Mathematical analysis and numerical modelling of technical systems and their impact on the territory
  • Organization and operations in transport systems and logistics
  • Urban analysis of planning infrastructure networks with the territory
  • Economy, financing and evaluation of the construction of infrastructure networks and the exploitation of their technical systems
